White Raven Award: Lulu’s Laundry Blog

It’s been a while since I ran a White Raven Award, and it’s time to start again. Just like doing one’s laundry, some tasks take a bit longer to get started, but it was this post that finally pushed me over the edge. ;)

Lulu’s Laundry Blog (it all comes out in the wash) is not only aesthetically gorgeous, it’s laugh-out-loud funny. Written by a technical writer to give herself an outlet for non-dry prose, I can honestly say that the only thing that’s remotely dry here is the sense of humor. ;)

I’ve been lurking now for a long time, but every time I want a pick-me-up all I have to do is come here. Lulu’s slathers her life with a thick layer of her offbeat humor and the well-written posts never fail to amuse. I really hope she doesn’t stop blogging, because the blogosphere will lose a diamond if she does.

Cleverly done, all the elements of this blog from the header to the archives have some kind of laundry theme (”dig through the basket”, “feed the laundry”.) Oh my goodness, but it’s pretty. I have graphic design envy.

This is such a cool blog, in fact, that everyone should visit it immediately…or else.

Oh my! I am so completely flattered that you bestowed upon me this wonderful award, as well as your many words of compliment! Thank you so much!! I might cry. And possibly not retire.
