Tag, I’m it! Seven quirks

Marina tagged me. Cool! The hardest part will be picking only seven quirky things about me. ;)

1. I very rarely wear matched socks. Years ago I started collecting, showing appreciation for, and thus receiving more of, weird socks. I especially like the ones with cows on them. After a while I got tired of trying to pair them up, so just stuck them in the drawer and let the universe know which mismatched set I’d be wearing that day. This has perplexed several young children over the years. ;)

2. I despise sarcasm. When I use it myself I don’t like myself very much, either. But I think sarcasm is unimaginative, mean-spirited and ultimately says more about the speaker than it does the victim.

3. I obsessively hunt historical markers down to their lair.

4. I love crawling around ancient burial mounds, and yes, sometimes on my hands and knees.

5. I do not own a car licence; I’m bike-licence only. While practical matters suggest that I will be getting one, I hate driving four wheeled vehicles and have avoided it almost since first passing my UK test in 1988.

6. I like baked bean pizza.

7. I like squares and circles more than any other even-sides shape. I like the evenness of them, perhaps because my life is typically unpredictable and often uncomfortable..
