Something I learned last year was to a) not run contests just before Christmas and b) not to make them too complicated. So, here is a simple book giveaway for three books I reviewed on Raven’s Roads before I took the non-travel stuff off to this blog. ;)

First, ze prizes!

1. The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory
   An intelligent if slighly melodramatic historical novel about the ambitious Boleyn family, told from the point of view of Mary Boleyn, Henry VIII’s lover before Anne.

2. Dooms Day Book by Connie Willis
   More history, only this time with a science-fiction bent. In a futuristic England, time travel has been perfected…almost. Far from being sent to a “safe” part of the past, our protagonist ends up at the start of the Black Death. Oops.

3. Guilty Pleasures (various authors).
   One day a group of female writers decided to talk about their guilty pleasures. These mini essays, some poignant, some mind-boggling, are the result.
   

Please note that none of these books are new, at least one is registered at Book Crossing, and all have had at least one previous owner. Share and enjoy. ;)
