Jaffzilla
Filed in BlogA friend of mine has a migraine and is in a bad mood, and was also talking about Jaffa Cakes, which are a particularly yummy form of British dessert. Apparently cookies are taxed in the UK but not cakes, and the Inland Revenue decided to try to get Jaffa Cakes classified as biscuits (cookies) so that they could be taxed. So McVities, who makes these items, brought them in a giant Jaffa Cake to say yup, see, it’s a cake.
Then I went searching for “giant Jaffa Cakes” to see if I could find a picture of said item, and found this.
I’m not sure what’s funniest–the “for scale” photographs, the description of the taste, or the url/concept of the website itself.

Thanks; I love this site! I started going through pages of other pimped snacks and was forced to eat a Little Debbie Nutty Bar. I wish Lindsey had known about this when she made me Candy Mountain from the Charlie the Unicorn video. She could have given a step-by-step account of how she built it.

Your friend’s bad mood must have lifted, at least slightly, by the very idea that there exists Jaffa Cakes that immense.
