Choke

The smoke from the fires was dismal today. Coupled with 100+ degree heat, the air wasn’t really that breathable. We stayed indoors, mostly.
In some parts of the area, visibility is down to a quarter of a mile.

The wind moved in and blew much of it away, which is relief to us and a nightmare for the firefighters. 299 is closed now a few miles east of here. The Whiskeytown/Moon fire, which is not a problem to us (apart from smoke) has gotten rather out of hand. :(
