Book Crossers

Book Crossing Meetup

Today was full-on awesomeness. Amber picked me up–I would’ve ridden but for the fact that the weather was Just Plain Disgusting with 50mph gusts predicted. We had lunch together at a place called Mr. Pickles which does wonderful sandwiches.

We wandered over to Starbuck’s for the Book Crossing meeting that Amber had spear-headed. 300 private messages translated to a turnout of seven people and it was just the right number. :) Amber’s sister showed up, as did Avanta and Rendiru–big hugs all around. Then eggiweg arrived, and Ms. Star. We dumped vast numbers of books on a nearby table and delighted in the fact that, after we stuck up a sign, about 75% of them went away pronto.

It was a great meeting, lots of laughter and conversation and generally all the good things about Book Crossing. And Avanta had knitted me a hat to go under my helmet! So cute. :)

We already scheduled the next one for March 29th. :)

I’m so jealous. :-) I had so much fun in Vegas. I definitely want to go back next winter. You want to join me Linda? I think you and I would have a blast.
