Raven’s Range
Blather around a virtual range

About

Welcome!

I’m Linda Raven Moore, also known as Lady Blog-a-Lot. I’m an author, freelance writer and blogger, chaser of historical markers and petter of cats. I have several niche blogs, all of which you’ll find syndicated here, but this is not one of them. This is my Everything Else blog.

Here, you’ll find whatever happens to be interesting to me at the time: musings on life, opinions, reviews, and blather ’round a virtual kitchen range. All the best conversations take place in kitchens, don’t they?

Tell me a story

Once upon a time (in 2003!) I planned a month-long motorcycling trip that went wrong, i.e. my bike broke down just before Leaving Day. The website I had created to plot the trip was called Raven’s Roads, and with some of the left-over energy I founded Markeroni, too.

In January 2007 I converted the static website Raven’s Roads to a Wordpress blog, and somehow it morphed from being a travel site to a travel and general site. After a while I became hooked on blogging and started a niche blog for motorcycling and another for RVing.

I soon became dissatisfied with Raven’s Roads being the catch-all for all my overflowing energies, and decided to start Raven’s Range as the off-topic blog and revert Raven’s Roads back to being a place where I could write about my travels, travel writing, and living an interesting life.

It’s Raven’s Range because it’s my home range. And I talk about a range of topics. And I already told you where the best conversations happen.

I like playing with words. :)

About me

My vintage is March 1970. If you care, do the math. I’m short, round, blonde, bespectacled, ride a 1400cc motorcycle and am as stubborn as all get out. I’m a freelance writer and author, and a reasonably talented webmaster with, alas, the graphic design talents of a gnat.

I was born in England, and emigrated out to the USA in 1997 after meeting my husband, Don, online. I am into motorcycling, good food with good company, travel, reading, writing, my three cats, and all sorts of mischief.
