A sticky wicket!

For years now Don has been talking about sticky wickets. It is a standard silly phrase in our home.
Well, after yesterday’s mad rush to replace my battery, the cocktail bar opposite Cycle Gear just so happened to be a sticky wicket.
So now we know.

The origin and meaning of ’sticky wickets’. It’s Wikipedia, so include grain of salt with perusal. :)
(I knew it was a cricket term, though. That’s about all I know about cricket, is that it involves wickets and it’s kinda like baseball but not really…)
