The latest batch of my rather rich and yummy home-made spaghetti sauce is cooking, and in fact there is a slice of bread and sauce with my name on it in the near future. Actually…

Mmm, nice.

I also just decluttered my little corner and the chi is flowing that much more happily now. I still have a massive “to-do” pile, having not yet dealt with all the mail from the mailbox, but it’s much better than it was.

This has been a programming week, with rather more of it than I wanted, but such is life. I’m still not finished with my project but I’m very close now (much closer than last week when I said it would be done this week). Losing our DNS server this week (laptop death) didn’t help. Having it rain almost every day did help. On the one day when it didn’t rain (yesterday) we escaped off for a nice ride and I got in some snarfing down in Walnut Grove.

It has also been quite a good week for organizing stuff. I have reduced my pending email by about 90% and I’m still amazed about that. All that was required was to channel the “will-do” part of my psyche, and not the “do-it-tomorrow” power.

I learned more about riding in the rain and freezing cold, acquired new woolly gloves, broke the monotony of the days by cultivating a Starbucks and reading habit, and started walking. I rediscovered that being in the wind is something that can still my soul and bring me peace.

JR went back to the vet and his bug can probably be controlled with antibiotics. He improved over the weekend on the drugs so it’s a fairly safe bet. Don and I are talking of taking a few days “off” to travel elsewhere. We’re not 100% sure we can because we have a little issue with the RV not wanting to start every time. It’s a loose connection, but where, we couldn’t say. Besides, after I finish my programming I could use a few days away from constant internet to do a bunch of writing and fill out some forms that I’m procrastinating on.

Other things on my mind: trying a new method of budgeting money. Getting caught up on accounting (if my Windows laptop hasn’t corrupted QuickBooks, as I suspect it has). Finishing categories/tags at Markeroni. Ways to spread all my programming tasks out over an entire year instead of trying to do them all at once. Maybe turning Annwn.com into a true hub for all my blogs and thus using the original website for something other than a place to gather dust on old writing. Wishing the rain would cut it out for a few days. Buying one of these.

Giggling at how a window nesting box, while neat, would not be a great product for RVers or the birds that came with them.
